By the time the house is on display in October 2009, Virginia Tech will have been working on the design and building of the 2009 house for almost two years! Follow the progress below.

- House moves to Blacksburg Square to test systems and get local publicity
- Maple soffit installed
- Zinc facade installed
- Sliding insulation panels installed
- Kitchen cabinets installed
- Fluorescent lighting wired and tested
- PVs activated
