By the time the house is on display in October 2009, Virginia Tech will have been working on the design and building of the 2009 house for almost two years! Follow the progress below.

- LUMENHAUS exhibit opens at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA
- Rough in of electrical and plumbing started
- Students travel to Boston to fill transluscent insulation panels with nanogel at Cabot Corporation
- Bathroom core frame built and set
- HVAC completed
- Roof membrane completed
