Energy Management, Autonomy, Customer Centric Intelligence (AI) with LumenHaus
There's a particular kind of energy at industry events like The smarter E. The event brought together the most consequential players in the global energy transition in Munich from June 23rd to 25th. Among them, LumenHaus made its statement not through a product announcement alone, but through a proposition that reframes what home energy systems are fundamentally for.

The theme LumenHaus brought to Munich was precise: AI-driven energy autonomy, putting intelligence in genuine service of the home. The distinction matters. Most of the industry is still talking about smart energy management — systems that respond to instructions, optimize on command, and report back to users who must still make the decisions.
But first, the question remains: what is a smart home energy system actually for?

Stefan Kießling — Bayer Leverkusen legend, one of the most recognizable figures in German football — took the stage for the global launch of SunMini, LumenHaus's next-generation balcony storage system, and was formally announced as LumenHaus Brand Ambassador.

Then there was Prof. Dr. Quaschning of HTW Berlin, one of the most respected and frequently cited voices on renewable energy systems in the German-speaking world. His assessment at the LumenHaus panel talk was characteristically unsparing: the next phase of the energy transition isn't primarily about generating more green electricity. conditions of individual households. AI's role in home energy systems is no longer a question of if. It's a question of who builds that role well and who doesn't.
LumenHaus presented its complete integrated home energy ecosystem at the exhibition — SunCatcher solar panels, SunSaver home storage, SunHeater heat pump, SunCharger EV charging, and the newly launched SunMini balcony storage system. Every device connects through the myLumenHaus app and is coordinated by the LumenHaus home energy management system (HEMS).

SunMini, with 2,800 W photovoltaic input, 2,500 W output power, and 4 kWh single-unit capacity, it represents a genuine performance step above the previous generation of balcony systems. When integrated with Smart-Eco Mode and Dynamic+ dynamic tariff optimization, it delivers calculated annual electricity savings of up to €1,127 at current German electricity prices — with a payback period of around 2.2 years.
For households that are not yet ready for a full PV and storage installation, SunMini is the gateway of a journey toward energy autonomy. During the exhibition, SunMini was honored with the EUPD Top Innovation Award in recognition of its outstanding design innovation.
At The smarter E, LumenHaus and EUPD Research formally launched the LumenHaus Installer Alliance — a structured partnership programme built across four dimensions: project incentives, professional training, market development support, and operational resources.
Prof. Dr. Quaschning's assessment of the industry's direction aligns with that framing precisely. The next stage of energy transition is not measured in gigawatts alone. It is measured in how many households move from passive energy consumers to active participants in a distributed, intelligent, autonomous energy system, and how quickly.
